Dr. Lauren Oddo (she/her)

Dr. Lauren Oddo is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for children, adolescents, and adults. She has extensive experience treating ADHD, disruptive behaviors, mood and anxiety disorders, and interpersonal difficulties across the lifespan. Dr. Oddo provides individual therapy, family therapy, and parenting/caregiver support. She is also a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) provider—an evidence-based treatment for young children with disruptive behaviors, emotion regulation difficulties, and/or ADHD.
Dr. Oddo has advanced training in CBT for ADHD, a gold-standard intervention that helps individuals manage unhelpful thought patterns, build time management and organizational skills, support healthy routines, and address common co-occurring challenges such as substance use concerns and anxiety and mood symptoms.
Her approach is collaborative, client-centered, and goal-focused. She works closely with clients to uncover meaningful motivation and create lasting, positive change. Treatment is tailored to each individual’s unique strengths and needs, with a strong emphasis on flexibility, regular progress monitoring, and adapting strategies to ensure effective, personalized care.
In addition to therapy, Dr. Oddo provides comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to support diagnostic clarity, treatment planning, and academic/work place success.
Education & Training
Dr. Oddo brings a strong research foundation to her clinical work. Her research has focused on developing and evaluating evidence-based interventions that enhance attention, motivation, mood regulation, and executive functioning in youth. Her contributions have been recognized by leading institutions, including the National Institutes of Health, American Psychological Association, Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder).
Dr. Oddo earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Richmond and completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. She completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at VCU Health System’s Virginia Treatment Center for Children and went on to pursue postdoctoral research training in Implementation Science at VCU.
